Do you have Dry Hair?

What is dry hair? It lacks oil and moisture, it usually starts with the scalp being dry. It is commonly caused by over washing your hair, using too hot or hard water, using the wrong products, being in dry hot/cold climates or environment, and sun exposure to name most. Hot tools and chemically treating hair also cause dry hair, but could lead to damaging the hair.
Medical conditions like malnutrition, hormonal conditions, taking specific type of medicine and stress are dry hair factors. If that is the case, please see a Trichologist (a hair and scalp specialist) or/and a Dermatologist (a doctor of skin, hair and nails).
Do’s to combat dry hair:
Wash your hair 1x week to every 3 days.
Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, or a co-wash/cleansing conditioner.
Use a moisturizing hair mask once a week.
Use a shower filter for hard water and use cooler water.
Use products such as oils/serums, and styling products (for your hair type) that will help nourish and hydrate your hair.
Use a dry conditioner on dry hair, it’s the opposite of dry shampoo.
Use lower temp for hot tools.
Only if you must, use a moisture balancing - medium hold hairspray.
