Even though my skin is on the oily combination side, it gets really dry in the colder seasons where I live. Argan Oil has been my ultimate skin saver when that dry cold season is here, but you can use it all year long and it is great for all skin type.
Argan oil is also know as Moroccan Oil. The oil is produced from kernels found inside the Argan nut, which is found inside the fruit of the Argan tree from Morocco.
Argan oil is hydrating, it locks in moisture. It is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, which are antioxidants. This will help fight free radicals, and it is anti-inflammatory for your skin.
Because it does all of the above, it is anti-aging and helps fight acne. Yes, even acne and oily skin can use it since it sits on a rating of zero on the comedogenicity rating scale. Translation: non-comedogenic means it is not pore clogging.
If you are using a 100% Argan oil or any oils on your skin, it should be the last step to your skincare routine. Remember, it locks everything in like a skin barrier.
Argan oil can be found on its own as a 100% pure Argan oil, or it is added to or already mixed in to your skincare and haircare products such as cleansers, serums, moisturizers, (facial and hair) masks, (facial and hair) oil mixtures, shampoos and conditioners.
F.Y.I., when buying specific hair oils or serum products with Argan oil in it, the product might already be mixed in with other ingredient made for hair. This means it does not apply to your skin/face. Always make sure to read the ingredients and the instructions before buying.
